Mason Cooke is a passionate professional trombonist, composer, and teacher. He received his Bachelor's degree in music education and trombone performance from Texas Tech University and his Master's degree in trombone performance from the University of Denver. A big proponent of a diversified skillset, Mason's performance career represents a wide range of genres and artists.
He frequently performs with notable jazz ensembles, such as Remy Le Boeuf's Assembly of Shadows, The Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra (CJRO), The Annie Booth Big Band, The Gabriel Santiago Orchestra, The Flatirons Jazz Orchestra, and his jazz collective Improphets. He has performed with orchestras, including Opera Colorado and the Big Spring Symphony. Mason has also joined the pit on touring Broadway musicals, including The Book of Mormon and Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. In addition, Mason is a member of the Mountain State Brass Quintet and Out of Line Brass Band, and has even collaborated with electronic artists like CHANCE MERIDIAN.

Mason formerly worked as a brass technician with the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle corps and currently enjoys freelancing and teaching private lessons.
